Goodreads Reviews
"Smith-Nochasak’s impeccable character development continues in this part of the journey. Readers meet quirky, damaged, and lovable characters with life experiences that have led them to have forged the internal strength to commit to the fight for the earth’s survival. Each person plays a key role in what they will ultimately face. . . .

"Anne M. Smith-Nochasak’s Taggak Journey is one of a handful of stellar dystopian fantasies that, for this reviewer, stand out for their imaginative writing, intricately layered character development, and a story that will leave you gasping as you turn pages late into the night.

"You really need to read the three-part Taggak Journey."
~~A-M Mawhiney, author of Fugitive Rifts

"I appreciated the realism of this dystopian tale and the true-to-life characters, some of whom poignantly represent familiar archetypes. The journey that the assorted group of those who didn’t give up have taken against logic and self-preservation instinct, pushing aside the personal for the sake of the common good, will stay with me. As will the lessons they have learnt along the way, the most important of them probably being that a victory doesn’t necessarily have to be neat to be meaningful."
~~Eve Koguce, author of The Accidental Cop

"
Readers of apocalyptic times, this is a perfect series for you. The protagonists are a grandmother in her late 70s and a twelve-year-old girl. What a powerful combination it makes when their vulnerability turns into power which changes and saves an entire world. The writing is powerful, stirring and expressive while being moving. Anne M Smith-Nochasak wields her pen like a sword battling blind beliefs, ignorance and hatred and drawing strength from biblical references she creates a potent and formidable series which is unique and mesmerizing.

"I love this writer for the amazing and powerful stories she creates, building on the innate strength of women, their fragility and tenderness becoming their strength rather than drawing them into peril. If you haven't read Anne M SMith-Nochasak yet, it is time you look her up and pick up a book by her."
~~Ivy Logan, author of The Breach Chronicles

"
Anne M. Smith-Nochasak's writing is exceptional. She creates an atmosphere that is both haunting and beautiful, while making the story's mystical elements feel completely grounded and believable. It takes an incredible storyteller to make something so magical feel so real. At its heart, this is a story about the Earth, humanity and choosing compassion over violence. It's about fighting for what's right with peace, loyalty and hope instead of hatred and destruction. It's a story of endurance, resilience and determination, reminding us that real strength often comes from kindness and standing together.

"This series is unlike anything else I've read. It's thoughtful, powerful, emotional and beautifully written. If you're looking for something original that inspires, challenges and stays with you, I can't recommend this book - and the entire series -highly enough."
~~Jas Phoenix, author of Berkano (The Ultimate Power of Three, Book One)

"
I am not normally into dystopian novels, but I read this trilogy, and all were really good books. This was probably my favorite.. The characters were well thought out and all had interesting storylines. There has been a build up to an ultimate climax in all 3 books, but this one was the one with the big ending, and it did not disappoint. It was very exciting and all the characters played a part, including their nemesis, The Elect. Even the dog has an important role. The teenager River plays the biggest part although Luke and Flo, who tell the story, also play big roles. River has the biggest responsibility but is the youngest character, only 13 in this book, but she handles it well. I won't give away the ending, will just say it was amazing. The whole trilogy was great and I recommend all three books."
